New Year's Eve

I had heard that the place to go for New Year's Eve fireworks was the sand dunes across from Long Beach between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. As I drove that way with a few friends around 10:30pm we could already tell by the heavy traffic that this was certainly the place to be. Cars were lined up all along the beach. Some 4x4 trucks even drove right up the dunes. We hiked up to the highest vantage point we could find to enjoy the show. Even before midnight, all up and down the coastline people were setting off their fireworks. It was spectacular! You can't really get the full experience through the video, but it was definitely one of the most memorable fireworks shows I've seen.
